Metis Consultants is a planning and engineering consultancy with a presence in Australia, the United Kingdom and South East Asia. Established in 2011, the company, which specialises in transport planning, modelling & analytics and traffic engineering, works with all levels of government and private sector. One of the company's remarkable projects was working with the State Government, City of Gold Coast and GOLDOC for over four years in the leadup to the 2018 Commonwealth Games, focusing on transport logistics, operations and support.

Family Business

PHJ Services
PHJ specialises in disaster, crime and trauma scene clean up. The company has been in operation on the Gold Coast since 1975. The company's recent works have related to restoration projects following severe weather events such as the Townsville floods in February this year and Cyclone Debbie in March 2017. Owner Gary Bourke and his two daughters, Hannah and Brea, have found a niche in crime and trauma scene cleaning and are listed by the Queensland Police Service as a recommended provider.

The Himalayan Salt Factory
The Himalayan Salt Factory and Salt Cave is Australia's largest retail and wholesale Himalayan Salt Shop, with over 50 tonnes of Himalayan Salt on site all year round. Importing directly from Pakistan, the company has shipping containers filled with Himalayan salt arriving every 8 weeks. From their Mermaid Waters store and their website, the Himalayan Salt Factory sells salt lamps and bodycare products, provides a range of massage techniques from their wellbeing centre, and offers salt hydrotherapy.

Construction and Trades

Nucrush Group
The Nucrush Group has two main businesses, Nucrush, which produces quarry and natural stone products, and Nucon, which produces and delivers pre-mixed concrete. The group, which provides work for 138 people, has been servicing the Gold Coast's construction needs for more than 50 years and remains 100% Gold Coast owned by the Neumann Family.

Dioz Group Australia
Dioz Group Australia are designers and manufacturers of quality custom-made merchandise and apparel. Its product range includes active wear, street and surf wear, towels and manchester, bags and novelty and executive gifts. In 2019, Dioz Group Australia was named the official supplier to Surf Life Saving Australia and also awarded supply contracts to the Bunnings Group and supplement company Swisse.

Tailored Media
Tailored Media is one of the Gold Coast's largest advertising and marketing agencies. Owned by husband and wife Brendon and Helen Sinclair, the company has enjoyed significant growth of the business over the past three years. The company is planning on opening a second office Brisbane and is now servicing the needs of customers internationally as well as throughout Australia.

Back in Motion Health Group Bundall
Back in Motion Bundall provides specialised physiotherapy services. Launched in 2012, the business now employs a team of 9 physiotherapists, a podiatrist, 5 administration staff and a dedicated Business Development Manager. Back in Motion Bundall now averages 165 new clients per month and has been recognised as the highest performing practice in an international network of more than 50 practices and 100 locations.

Opmantek is a developer of software in the field of IT Infrastructure Management. Opmantek's flagship product, NMIS, is an enterprise class, globally acknowledged network management platform. Around the world a new organisation installs an Opmantek product every six minutes, making Opmantek the fastest growing business software company in the world. Supplying software to 130,000 organisations internationally, the company has been the recipient of numerous Australian and Global IT awards.

Tourism, Hospitality and Events

The Gold Coast Turf Club
The Gold Coast Turf Club is an icon of the Gold Coast. It provides thoroughbred racing, training facilities and more than 20 event spaces on a 34ha site in the heart of the Gold Coast. Each year the club hosts about 60 race meetings. The club has 34 full-time employees and this figure swells to up 600 people on major race days.

Exceptional Tuition and Resumes was founded in 2010 by Monique Jeremiah and prepares resumes for the construction, education and health industries. The company offers multiple employment opportunities for students seeking career development at an early stage of their careers. These includes turning interns into tutors, marketers or resume-writing contractors, which then allow them to be recommended to prospective employers. In 2013, Monique was awarded the Griffith University's Young Outstanding Alumnus of the Year.

Mayor's Innovation GC

Engenuity Solutions
Engenuity Solutions is a multidisciplinary engineering, process improvement and management services consultancy, covering civil, electrical, environmental and mechanical engineering. Established in 2013, the company now employs more than 20 employees. Their latest project is helping develop Surf Lakes 5 Wave technology, the world's first multi-break surf park where five different levels of waves are created simultaneously.
