CRITERIA TO ADDRESS

1. Overview of Company and its history

Include details of the directors and management team, length of time in business, company structure including an organisational chart, customers/target market and number of employees.

2. Products/Services

Include information on marketing practices and distribution chains.

3. Marketing Strategy

Include information on marketing practices and distribution chains.

4. Management Practices

Include information on staff training and development, incentives, employee share schemes.

5. Manufacturing Practices (if manufacturing) or Customer Service (if retail or in service industry)

If manufacturing, include information on any production efficiency measures introduced, eg lean manufacturing etc. as well as any quality and benchmarking initiatives.

6. Innovation (this may include Research and Development)

Innovation is defined as the multi-stage process whereby organisations transform ideas into new/improved products, service or processes, in order to advance, compete and differentiate themselves successfully in their marketplace. It may include R&D for new products or services or innovative changes in such things as new and improved management practices.

7. Environmental Practices

Include information on such things as water conservation, waste management, carbon reduction, recycling and "green" initiatives.

8. Citizenship

Include information on how your company supports your community. This may include sponsorship, charity, volunteering and work experience.

9. Significant Achievements

Include any Awards or Government grants received. It should also include reference to expotential growth of the company either in terms of turnover or staff expansion.

10. Exporting (if applicable)

Only include if relevant to your company. Information should include export markets, export sales and any other relevant information.

11. Education, Training and Employment

Include details of the how the company has demonstrated growth and success through business excellence in the education, training and employment sectors. Education is a key pillar of the Gold Coast economy, from childcare through to higher education and now more than ever, it is critical that our city has a skilled workforce through delivery of high-quality education and training, and employment pathway support. These businesses will be able to demonstrate and understanding of the value of a skilled workforce, delivering innovative, world class offerings with a commitment to nurturing future leaders and retaining talent on the Gold Coast.
